Ahyeon-dong Ganjang Gejang 아현동 간장게장, Seoul – Soy Marinated Raw Crab

Ahyeon-dong Ganjang Gejang 아현동 간장게장 specialises in raw marinated crabs.

The restaurant is not very spacious but the seats are comfortably spaced apart. It is also tourist-friendly as the staff is super friendly and speaks good English.

Available on the menu are three crab species – the original Kkotge (Flower Crab) 꽃게, Chamge 참게 and Dolge 돌게.

The signature is the Kkotge Ganjang Gejang KRW 27000 and a Yangnyeom KRW 27000 flavoured one.

There are also sides like Stir-fried Pork KRW 8000 and Kimchi Stew KRW 7000.

Menu

The soy sauce marinated raw crab is of average size and not as meaty as expected. However, it tastes fresh and contains a good amount of crab roe.

The purple rice is quite tasty too.

The set also comes with piping hot tofu stew. The texture of the tofu is firm.
