Anna’s Sourdough Cafe and Bakery in Oasis Terraces, Punggol

Anna’s, a homegrown brand by The Soup Spoon, is a sourdough specialty cafe and bakery in Punggol.

It is located in the quiet Oasis Terraces shopping mall accessible via Oasis LRT and the PCN, making it a nice pit stop for cyclists in the area too.

There is indoor and alfresco dining. Even on a weekday afternoon, there is a small crowd.

Lovers of this chewy, tangy bread would find Anna’s a must-visit.

There is an amazing selection of sourdough loaves such as Jalapeno Cheddar $24, Sunburst $24, Turkish Delight $24, Olive with Preserved Lemons $24 and Just Cheese $24.

Looking equally tasty, the bakes available over the counter include Earl Grey Fig with Honey $8, Chocolate Rye Raspberry Broffin wth Sea Salt $6.90, Double Chocolate Chip Sourdough Muffin $5.50 and Carrot Walnut $8.

For those dining in, there are full meal options ranging from soup and salad to hearty brunch toasties, steaks, pasta and in-house sourdough pizzas.

There is a Dribs and Drops Diversity Board $30 made for sharing, with its assorted sourdough bread slices and condiments.

Complement with beverages including the refreshing Fizzes (e.g. Hibiscus Bliss $7 with elderflower cordial), tea and coffee.

The toasties are available from 8:30AM to 5PM.

The Spring Avocado Toast $14 comes with creamy avocado, beetroot miso hummus and mushroom spread, topped with snow pea sprouts and a dash of dukkah.

The addition of the crunchy, slightly bitterish snow pea sprouts is interesting. The rest of the combination is chef’s kiss.

The OG Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon $24 features the okara-na sourdough slice served with two perfectly poached eggs wrapped in salmon, arugula leaves, dukkah, beetroot spread and mustard hollandaise sauce.

It is appealing and filling. Eggs benedict is one of my favourite brunch dishes and this totally makes the cut.
