Bijin Nabe by Tsukada Nojo – Beauty Collagen Hotpot Wins In Taste
It’s been quite a while since my last visit to Bijin Nabe by Tsukada Nojo, one of the forerunners for bringing the collagen hotpot experience to Singapore.
During meal times, you wouldn’t be surprised to find long queues snaking along the walkway, with eager patrons eyeing for their collagen hotpot.
Known as the Golden Jidori Soup, the golden broth is rich in collagen and made natural using three types of ingredients, namely Jidori Chicken Bones, Water and Salt. The stock is boiled and simmered for a good eight hours until it achieves a thick and flavourful consistency.
The Bijin Nabe or Beauty Pot serves a great deal of benefits from nourishment to uplifting your skin complexion. There’s simply no excuses not to have this right now.
The Beauty Pot starts at $25++ per pax (with a minimum of 2 pax). It comes with a pot of collagen stock (to be boiled to liquid form) and a side platter. In it, there is a well-balanced mix of seafood (prawns), meats (chicken) and vegetables (lettuce, radish, corns, potato leaves etc).
Diners can also choose for either noodles or rice to go along.
Add-ons are also available at extra charges.
As for the soup, it was one of the best I ever had. The colour was more milky yellowish and the taste was heavenly and full-flavoured on the tongue. It got richer towards the end of the boil. And that was when I started to add in the Beauty Noodles I ordered.
The meal ended off with a cute doodle on the plate thanking for my patronise.
Besides Bijin Nabe, there’s also Bijin Shabu Shabu $32++ per pax and Bijin Sukiyaki $38++ per pax!
New Bijin Nabe soup flavours are now available too!
Here’s the list of flavours:
- Original Collagen Chicken Stock
- Curry: Original collagen soup + curry flavour
- Spicy Chicken: Original collagen soup made hotter
