Chef-in-Box Vendcafé opens at Suntec City & New World Chef Series Launch
Suntec City is no stranger to new restaurants and café openings. It is a foodie paradise, where there is no lack of options in the day and when night reels in, bars and clubs come alive to the city scene. Right smack in the middle of it all is Chef-in-Box Vendcafé, which its unique approach to the food scene and bringing in a new line of SMART vending and dispensing machines into Suntec City Convention Centre.
Located just directly outside convention rooms, these vending machines serve a great purpose catering largely to business crowds and those who have ended their seminars or meetings nearby.
Lauded as one of the most diversely comprehensive vending machine services in Southeast Asia, Chef-in-Box Vendcafé now offers cuisines that include Korean, Thai, Indian, Spanish, Chinese, Local, Western and more. Especially for Korean, Thai and Indian food, the choices have expanded to provide customers more varied options during meals.
Chef-in-Box Vendcafé is not about your typical vending machines that churns out run-off-the-mill food packages. Under Chef-in-Box’s World Chef Series, the new dishes are specially created by internationally acclaimed chefs to best bring out the taste and flavours from their home countries. Some of these chefs even have the honour of presenting their dishes to royalties, political leaders and celebrities too.

- Starting from $3, you can now get freshly brewed coffee from the Coffee Machine that also churns out latte, americano and teas. Simply choose from the menu screen the type of beverages you like and select your preference for sugar level, caffeine strength and coffee temperature. It’s really convenient and fuss-free. After a few clicks and one to two minutes of waiting, I got my chilled cappuccino with double shots.
- You know the time when the weather is so hot that a thirst-quencher would make a life-saviour? Chef-in-Box Vendcafé has dropped the coconut vending machine right before your eyes which dispenses fresh coconut juice straight from the husk at any time of the day.
- I would definitely want this near my house – a self-service chiller refrigerator that allows you to grab some snacks and desserts whenever the craving hits.
Ordering from the vending machines is really easy. In a matter of minutes, your meal would have been warmed up and ready to be eaten. For those who simply want to take away, the chilled version of the food packages will be dispensed directly after payment.

- Chef Satish Arora: Deemed as the ‘Godfather of Indian cuisine’ with over 50 years experience in catering and cooking at the famous Taj Hotels group in India, it does not come as a surprise that he was once the youngest Group Executive Chef at 26 years old. - Chef Jake Kim: An award-winning Korean chef who have participated and chaired many prestigious cooking competitions will steal your heart with the tasty Beef & Mushroom Japchae packed full of premium ingredients, and the comforting Kimchi Chicken Fried Rice.
- Chef Jeeraphon Ritthep: Besides his impressive line-ups which include cooking for the Thai royalties and being Gold Award Winner of the International Master Chef Challenge 2016, he now helms The Good View Bar & Restaurant, one of the top restaurant in Chiang Mai, as the Group Executive Chef. Don’t miss his specially curated Prawn Paste Fried Rice with Chicken and Massaman Chicken Curry with Thai Rice.
