Chinatown Chinese New Year Fair in Singapore

It’s the time of the year to celebrate new beginnings with loved ones, friends and relatives! Let this snake year be filled with growth, fortune and prosperity.

Join in the vibrant celebrations at various Chinese New Year events around Singapore.

Don’t miss the biggest CNY fair at Takashimaya, which is only a few MRT stops away.

Take 1-2 hours to explore the area between Chinatown Point and the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. Bask in the festivities, sample treats and cop your favourite snacks home.

The Chinatown Chinese New Year Bazaar will end on 28 January 2025.

Cute snake ornaments, plush toys, red packets, lanterns, paper cutouts, calligraphy etc.

Rows and rows of pineapple tarts, love letters, cookies, fish skin, crab stick strips, honeycomb crackers and more.

With assorted flavours.

This is my must-have fruit jellies every year. Mixing is allowed and they are priced by weight. It might be a tad expensive. However, as the stores are only here annually, I will still give in to my urges and get some home.

Think pomelo, dried persimmon and mandarin oranges.

A traditional staple that symbolises prosperity, growth and good luck.

A treat enjoyed by many. Popular bak kwa brands in the area are Bee Cheng Hiang, Lim Chee Guan and Fragrance.

Another household favourite too.

Take a break from your CNY shopping at MIXUE.

The outlet along Pagoda Street serves soft serve at only $1.50 and refreshing fruity drinks from $2.50.
