CHLIV Taipei Huashan – Black Aesthetic Industrial-themed Cafe for Charcoal Latte
Taiwanese coffee brand, CHLIV, by award-winning founder and head barista, Chris Lin, has two outlets – Jiufen (Flagship) in New Taipei City and Huashan 1914 Creative Park in Taipei.
The black aesthetic, industrial-themed cafe is a hidden gem for the creative minds in the Huashan area.
There are coffee and non-coffee options, such as Espresso NT $100, Macchiato NT $140, Caffe Latte (from NT $150) and Matcha Latte (from NT $150).
Even the merchandise fit the minimalist theme of black and white. On the shelves are tumblers, mugs, cups, pins and stickers.
The popular Charcoal Latte (NT $160 Hot, NT $170 Iced) has beautiful latte art. The coffee has a rich, smooth texture with a bitter note.
There are ample seats indoor. Get a seat by the window for the best view outside too.
During my visit in May, there are pineapple cake and madeleines available. There are all charcoal black in colour too.
