Citrus by the Pool, Woodlands – Below $20 Local Fusion Delights & OTT Milkshakes

Citrus by the Pool offers affordably priced halal-certified dishes below $20. From their signature waffles and classic finger food to hearty mouth-watering burgers and pasta, there is something for everyone. The availability of the kid’s menu is also another reason to bring your little ones along too.

Before digging in, take a sip of their popular Mighty Milkshake served in a giant mug and brimming with sweet treats. The Cookie Crush $9.90 comes recommended for those who love cookie bits and the sweet, chocolate flavours from the blended cookies n cream ice cream, low-fat milk and oreo cookies.

Fans of snickers could try the Snickerhead $10.90 that comes in a decadent blend of caramel and peanut chocolate bar, chocolate milk and chocolate ice cream.

Menu

Celebrate local delights with a series of newly launched dishes. Citrus by the Pool presents the Asian-inspired Beef Rendang Baked Rice $14.90, Laksa Pasta $12.90, Chilli Crab Sliders $12.90 and Pandan Panna Cotta $5.90.

The most memorable one is the Chili Crab Sliders where the crispy deep-fried soft shell crabs are topped with mouth-watering chilli crab sauce and stuffed between steam buns. Each bite is an explosion of sweet and spiciness. It’s addictive enough to call for another portion.

The Beef Rendang Baked Rice features a hearty portion with generous chunks of cheesy beef over a bed of rice. It would be great if the beef cubes are slightly more tender.

From the a la carte menu, burgers come as Little Boss $14.90 and Big Boss $17.90 for the beef and mutton patty. The latter comes loaded with crispy fried onions, sliced tomato, cucumber, lettuce and purple cabbage slaw, alongside two patties slathered with a thick layer of satay sauce. Tasty with portion size fit for a king.

Another option would be the Shiok Burger $12.90 that uses fried chicken thigh as the patty instead.

The only dish that exceeds $20 is the Cajun Lamb Rack $21.90, still very pocket-friendly. The lamb racks are grilled and doused in homemade brown sauce, before being served with seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes.
