2018 CNY Chinatown Festive Street Bazaar Celebrations

With Chinese New Year fast approaching, Chinatown is once again bustling with activities.

The annual Festive Street Bazaar has returned to Chinatown, featuring long stretches of stalls along the road and festive lights lining up the streets. From Chinese New Year goodies and Taiwanese jellies to festive decorations, paper art, red packets, dog plushies and potted plants, this is the place well-stocked with anything you need for the season.

Occurring between from 26 January to 15 February 2018, don’t miss out the fun at Chinatown!

The event is located directly outside Chinatown MRT Station.

It can get really crowded at night, even on a weekday!

Check out rows upon rows of Chinese New Year goodies that would totally leave you spoilt for choice, such as the seaweed crackers, crabmeat stick, pineapple tarts, love letter, prawn rolls and honeycomb etc.

Try the popular Taiwan seaweed snacks if you haven’t! These are delicious and come with various flavours. One of my favourites is the seaweed with milkfish chips!

Another stall I would patronise is this one that sells Taiwanese jellies!

There are assorted flavours and some come wrapped in nice packaging, great as gifts for your relatives or friends when you visit them.
