Crystal Jade X Foodpanda Delivery – Swift Delivery & No More Queueing

You know the good thing about having a delivery service is that you get to sit in the comfort of your house and wait for the food to be delivered. This is even better for us as customers who have to deal with long queues from certain food outlets. Instead of braving the huge lunch/dinner crowd, Foodpanda has got this covered by offering delivery services from these places to our homes. Now you and I don’t have to rush nor queue. With Foodpanda, an online delivery system, food can be swiftly delivered from as fast as within an hour’s time.

One of the restaurant brand that Foodpanda delivers from is Crystal Jade, such as Crystal Jade Kitchen and Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao. I frequent Crystal Jade outlets quite often and if you have been to any of their outlets, you would understand that long queues can form during peak hours!

So what happens when I am not particularly fond of long wait hours, I am busy and yet I am craving for certain food? Yes, I turn to food delivery services. At only an extra delivery charge of $3 for every Foodpanda delivery, it is technically worth you saving the hassle of travelling over.

So here’s some highlights of the food that you could order from the respective outlets (subject to changes)! Note that there are way more food available on the Crystal Jade delivery menu too.

Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao

Steamed Assorted Xiao Long Bao (Chilli Crab, Salted Egg Yolk, Original and Tie Guan Yin)

四色小笼包 (辣椒蟹、咸蛋黄、原味、铁观音)

These beautiful soup dumplings (which come in four flavours) are their signatures.

A slight chew on the dumpling skin would let lose a stream of hot tasty juicy. Depending on your choice of flavour, each one would taste differently. I really love the Chilli Crab Xiao Long Bao for its mild spiciness and generous crab fillings.

As for the Salted Egg Yolk Xiao Long Bao, the creamy sauce held the meats together and the taste almost reminded me of a cheesy meat ball.

Chiiled La Mian with Tea Tree Mushroom in Peanut & Mushroom Sauce

茶树菇冷面

This was one of my favourite. Served chill, the noodles was lightly tossed in sauce and had a nice soft texture. Gladly, it didn’t come off as dry and the pairing ingredients like the Tea Tree Mushroom lent an extra crunch.

Crystal Jade Kitchen

Fortune 5 Chicken 五福鸡

The roasted whole chicken featured a thin crispy skin with tender meats. It was even more shiok when dipped into the spicy chili sauce that was served on the side.

Deep-fried Chicken with Dried Chilli  辣子鸡丁

Again, the fried chicken was quite well-cooked, crispy on the outside and moist within. Cut into small pieces, it was very addictive to consume and I was simply popping one after another into my mouth! I would have preferred it spicier though.

Deep-fried Salted Egg Shrimp with Cheong Fun

金沙虾仁脆燃肠粉

Upon first bite, I was surprised at the crunchiness of the deep fried shrimp despite being wrapped in cheong fun. If you find it a tad dry, you can also add some vinegar to it which I thought actually enhanced the flavours more. The salted egg taste was faint but I liked it that way without it being overpowering. This dish, I would definitely order again!

Baked Mini Egg Tart 酥皮迷你蛋挞

For desserts, Crystal Jade offers a mixture of hot and cold selections. If you are ever craving for some belly-warming soup, the Black Sesame Glutinous Rice Dumpling in Ginger Soup would make a good choice. Or else, take your pick from other options such as the Mini Egg Tart, Herbal Jelly and Osmanthus with Wolfberry Cake!
