DAILY BEER 생활맥주, Seoul – Korean Fried Chicken and Craft Beer in Myeong-dong

Originating from Yeouido in 2014, DAILY BEER 생활맥주 has since garnered widespread success and popularity for its exclusive craft beer and delicious fried chicken in Korea. Its recent new opening in Telok Ayer, Singapore, marks its first overseas venture.

Myeong-dong has a fried chicken street which houses various fried chicken restaurants such as Chir Chir, BHC Chicken and Puradak Chicken. Situated in one corner is DAILY BEER. The street is quite crowded at night.

Ordering is done through a digital screen. There is an English menu too.

The signature fried chicken, known as Angry Bird, is available in assorted flavours like Red (spicy), Black (sweet soy) and Kimchi. Prices start from KRW 19500.

There are complimentary sides like radish, sweet chilli sauce and popcorn.

The fried chicken arrived about half an hour later.

The Angry Bird (Half & Half) KRW 19500 is highly recommended for those who want to try two flavours together. I got the Black and Kimchi flavours at an add-on of KRW 1000 each.

The portion is huge. It seems like the entire chicken with all the parts.

The meat is juicy and tender. The highlight for me is the crunchiness of the skin, nicely battered and well-fried, as well as the taste of the seasoning. The kimchi one is really tasty.

Accompanying the meal is a chilled glass of Gimpo Ginseng Lager KRW 6500.
