Local durian brand, Durian SG Prime, offers great durian at lower prices compared to most sellers in Singapore. These durians are sourced straight from mountain plantations in Malaysia without middleman, hence resulting in a 20-30% cut in usually seen prices.

We had the Old Tree Mao Shan Wang (from Famous Tiger Mountain), D24 (from Cold White Mountain) and Indigo D13 (from Hock Beng).

Premium durians like Mao Shan Wang and Black Gold are often much sought after but also pricier than their counterparts. This Mao Shan Wang durian has a balanced, bitter-sweet taste and is meaty with small seeds. At both ends of the spectrum are the D24 and D13. The former, D24 is slightly more bitter as well as fibrous, giving it a nice chew on the texture. The Indigo D13, on the other hand, is recognisable for its orange-ish skin and much creamier and sweeter palate, perfect for after a savoury meal.
