Edge CNY Buffet at Pan Pacific Singapore

Chinese New Year is a precious yearly affair for joyful gatherings and indulgent feasts!

This year, celebrate at Edge at Pan Pacific Singapore, known for its extensive buffet spread. The bountiful festive highlights include traditional must-haves and international favourites all in one setting!

Take home Hai Tien Lo’s auspicious CNY goodies such as the Prosperity Lunar New Year Koi Fish Nian Gao ($48 for 2 pieces), Pineapple Pasty Combination – Charcoal, Pandan, Kumquat, Pineapple ($85 for 16 pieces) and adorable 12 Chinese Zodiac-themed Macarons ($88 for 12 pieces).

The pop-up booth can be found near the hotel entrance, from now till 12 February 2025 (except 28 January), between 10AM to 8PM.

Bask in the festive vibe extending from the hotel lobby to the restaurant, all decked in red decors.

Toss to a year of prosperity with the traditional Yu Sheng. The DIY Yu Sheng station features crunchy vegetables, condiments, golden pillows and Chef’s special green apple mint and truffle plume sauce.

Edge does not hold back on its meat delights! The impressive selection consists of the Roasted Five Spice Golden Whole Pig, Slow Roasted Beef Tomahawk, Herbs Roasted Lamb Leg, Grilled Beef Striploin with Truffle Mash and Braised Pork Knuckle.

The grilled oyster station is my favourite stop. Available this time round is the Brandy Flamed Oyster with a flavourful topping of ginger, bird’s eye chilli, garlic and scallion paste. The oysters are cooked to perfection – plump and succulent.

More seafood can be found at the Seafood on Ice corner, lavished with freshly shucked oysters, Boston lobsters, prawns and crawfish.

The tantalising CNY creations continue to the Crispy Batter Nian Gao with Sweet Potato & Yam, BBQ Gold Coin Bak Kwa and Chicken Floss Pizza and Braised Premium Seafood with Green Broccoli Casserole (with lots of razor clams).

Buffet mainstays like the cold cuts, premium international cheeses and salad bar are worth a treat.

Capping off the meal is the spectacular dessert offering.

Indulge in CNY-themed cakes, tarts, pralines, and cookies.

Think Cream Cheese Foresting Red Velvet, Pistachio Choux, Purple Sweet Potato Tartlet, Lychee Blue Pea Cake, assorted CNY Goodies (i.e. pineapple tarts), and Pralines (in four different favours – Orange, Yuzu, Pineapple, and Ginseng).

Enjoy Red Velvet Cookies Ice Cream and Sea Salt Caramel Gelato with crispy red velvet mochi waffle. This is so delicious. The waffle is crunchy with a generous filling of stretchy mochi.

Edge’s nama chocolate selection remains at the top of my list.

The flavours available are Rum, Matcha, and seasonal Orange. Their soft, rich taste and melt-in-the-mouth texture complete my experience here on a high note.
