Emma – Boba Soft Serve & Gravity-Defying Cones in Plaza Singapura

This July, popular Japanese soft serve and specialty tea shop, Emma, has opened its first overseas outpost in Singapore. Located at Basement two of Plaza Singapura, Emma offers a cool range of gravity-defying soft serve that comes in various presentations.

 

Emma Soft Milk with Charcoal Cones

The soft serves come in two flavours – vanilla and charcoal cheese.

An exclusive flavour would be the Charcoal Cheese, which is a mix of sweet and savoury.

Prices of the soft serves start at $4.80 for the Emma Soft Milk.

 

Emma Soft Milk with Dips

The four flavours to the Dips $5.30 are Caramel, Strawberry, Matcha and Chocolate. We tried the matcha dip which was like a hardened cap on the soft serve. It was not too sweet and paired with the rich milky soft serve.

 

Boba Taco Softie

The highlight at Emma is probably the Waffle Bubble Mix Soft Serve $6.80. Served on a homemade crispy wafer is the charcoal cheese and milk swirl, generously topped with chewy Okinawa Brown Sugar Pearls, Kuromitsu (Japanese Brown Sugar Syrup) and crushed peanuts.

It is visually appetising and feels like eating a frozen bubble tea.

Emma’s signature Brown Sugar Bubble Soft $5.80 simply tops off your soft serve with more Okinawa Brown Sugar Pearls. Take it a notch higher with some sprinkles of kinako powder, matcha powder or caramel syrup.
