Jalppajin Memil Seochon 잘빠진메밀 서촌, Seoul – Spicy Cold Buckwheat Noodles and Makgeolli Sampler

Jalppajin Memil 잘빠진메밀 (Seochon branch), which is near popular tourist spots, Gyeongbokgung Palace and Seochon Hanok Village, is a buckwheat noodle specialty restaurant.

The menu is only available in Korean.

Another highlight here is the Alcohol Sampler (from KRW 9000).

The Sweet Makgeolli Sampler KRW 9000 comprises five glasses of Korean rice wine in different flavours.

One of which is a makgeolli of the day and it was Yakult-flavoured. The alcohol content is not very high. It is exciting to be able to try different flavours altogether.

The portion of the Buckwheat Noodles KRW 11000 is huge enough for two. The thin, chilled noodle tastes nice.

The sauce, however, is more sweet than savoury. There is vinegar and mustard sauce on the side that you can add to elevate the flavour.
