Johor Coffee Week, JB City Square – Johor’s Largest Coffee Event from 16 to 19 March 2023

Organised by the Malaysia Specialty Coffee Association, Johor Coffee Week is a four-day event held at Johor Bahru City Square Level 1 Atrium, from 16 to 19 March 2023, 10AM to 10PM. As Johor’s largest coffee festival, it showcases some of the best roasters in town and their beans, coffee-making essentials like equipment and mixers, as well as two ongoing coffee championship competitions.

While at the event, you can redeem a RM20 voucher at the Information & Gift Redemption Counter. Simply take a picture beside the iconic life-sized coffee bean and post on IG story with the relevant hashtags.

Join in the Spin & Win game with a minimum spend of RM200 and win attractive prizes. Terms and conditions apply.

Moreover, enjoy special deals like discount rates and exclusive blends that are only available during this period.

Those interested in coffee machines and bulk purchase may also speak to the suppliers here.

Some of the brands featured on the ground are K-HUBS, Bero Coffee Singapore, JWC Roastery, Morning, Coffex and Botella.

Drink demonstrations happen throughout the day too. At DaVinci Gourmet, watch in awe as the mixologist prepares up to four Ramadan-special beverages such as the Mangota Pandan and Mango Kurma Frappe, infused with their house syrups. We get to sample both and they are really delicious!

Another fruit-based syrup brand that is quite commonly seen is Monin. There are so many flavours displayed here.

Whether you are a coffee connoisseur, enthusiast or simply a curious drinker, take this opportunity to explore as much as you can!

There are coffee samplings at the vendors and experienced baristas/roasters to explain the know-hows and even guide you along the farm to cup journey. Some of the coffee have certain fruity notes you least expect too. Tasting coffee is akin to tasting wine; there’s such different depth, flavour and aroma in each one. It is truly an eye-opener.

If you are someone who makes your own coffee, Morning, a Singapore-based company, might have the coffee machine tailored to your needs. As the world’s first specialty coffee capsule machine, it allows users to prepare specialty coffee (not just the usual black) by slotting in the capsules and through the Morning app, control every brew right down to the temperature, pressure and output.

The coffee trail does not just end here. Don’t miss the Roaster’s Village, which features six brands – Soon Specialty Coffee, Drum Coffee Roaster, Reframe Coffee Roasters, Karon Farm Coffee, Afloat Coffee Roaster and Alleylab Coffee Roastery.

Satisfy your caffeine fix with choices like filter coffee, espresso and coffee mocktails for purchase. Samplings are also available too.
