Kuma Brand Rainbow Cheese Toast at KSL City mall in Johor Bahru, Malaysia

Kuma Brand‘s rainbow cheese toast is stirring up a storm at KSL City mall in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. With its adorable packaging resembling the popular Japanese mascot Kumamon and colourful stretchy cheese, it would no doubt capture the hearts of many!

The Signature Cheese Toast is priced at RM 7.90 amongst other flavours such as the Chocolate Nutella RM 10.90, Charcoal RM 12.90, Matcha RM 12.90 and Rainbow RM 13.90. You can also get the set with a drink from RM 14.90 onwards.

I had the Rainbow Cheese Toast. The surface was brushed with butter first before being toasted to a golden yellow.

The rainbow colour is derived from natural food colouring. 

Pink: Roselle

Orange: Carrot

Yellow: Original

Green: Pandan

Blue: Butterfly Pea

Purple: Sweet Potato

 

Served warm, the cheese was thick, gooey and could be pulled to a considerable length. It tasted good too, with just the right kind of texture and gladly, not overly chewy. Paired with the toast which was sweeter, buttery and crispy, the combination was a play on my tongue.

For the amount paid, it made a very filling toast!
