Marina Square CNY Promotion with Yu Sheng, Hotpot and BBQ Buffet

With Chinese New Year around the corner, many of us are looking forward to long awaited reunions with our relatives, and more importantly, the endless feasting on our favourite food! But labouring over food preparation and cleaning up after? Not so much.

This festive season, indulge your senses at one of these three restaurants offering exclusive Chinese New Year promotions and menus at Marina Square: Shabu Tan Japanese Hotpot by Emporium Shokuhin, Dian Xiao Er, and Seoul Garden BBQ.

Shabu Tan by Emporium Shokuhin

The latest addition to Emporium Shokuhin, Shabu Tan is every shabu shabu lover’s dream come true, with cuts ranging from Australian grass fed beef and Iberico Pork Collar, to the legendary A4 Kagoshima Wagyu.

Australian Ribeye Shabu-Shabu Set (each set serves 3-4 pax): $88

Australian Wagyu Shabu-Shabu Set: $138

A4 Kagoshima Wagyu Shabu-Shabu Set: $188

With fresh, succulent seafood like salmon, snow crab leg stick and bay scallop to dip into the bonito dashi soup, it won’t be long before you enjoy a robust broth teeming with all the flavours from your hot pot ingredients!

The Shokuhin Yusheng ($36.80 for the Fortune set which serves 2-4 pax, $63.80 for the Prosperity set which serves 6-10 pax) puts a Japanese spin on a beloved dish, with sweet mikan, dried cranberries, yuzu peel, pistachio, edamame, pineapple, shredded green and white daikon and homemade citrus sauce to go with the fresh cuts of ehime citrus yellowtail and salmon sashimi. Seabream is also available for the Prosperity set.

Dian Xiao Er

Comfort food is the order of the day at Dian Xiao Er. Have your tastebuds tantalised by festive dishes like Golden Crisp Pork Belly and Golden Spiced Crayfish, both prepared specially for the season.

The Pork Belly, while crisp on the outside, is utterly satisfying to sink your teeth into, while the plumpness of the crayfish was well complimented by a medley of spices.

For families dining with older folk, the Double-Boiled Nourishing Collagen Brazilian Mushroom Soup is packed with rich flavour and nutrition, making it the perfect beauty pot for the season.

Unfortunately, these seasonal dishes are not available ala carte and are served as part of Dian Xiao Er’s Premium Selection, Classic Signature and Golden Fortune Sets, but why limit yourself to one when you can try all of them?

Compared to Emporium Shokuhin, Dian Xiao Er’s Prosperity Yu Sheng ($32.80 for medium, $56.80 for large) yielded a more savoury taste, thanks to the smoked salmon. There’s also a Gui Fei Abalone Yu Sheng ($36.80 for medium, $62.80 for large).

Seoul Garden

For something slightly more casual, head over to Seoul Garden, where a hearty feast awaits from $17.99++. Indulge in a range of buffet delicacies ranging from beef slices, chicken, clams and crabs to mushrooms and vegetables.

Besides tteokbokki, marinated meat and seafood, there’s also a seasonal crab meat soup that’s brimming with piping hot goodies!

And not forgetting a Halal certified Seoul Garden Prosperity Yusheng ($8.88++).

With not one, but three different places to enjoy a Lunar New Year’s feast, be prepared to be spoilt for choice when you dine at Marina Square! Which one’s your pick?
