McDonald’s Nasi Lemak Burger and Smoky BBQ McShaker Fries

Inspired by our local favourite nasi lemak dish, McDonald’s rendition is back in burger form to treat our taste buds.

The Nasi Lemak Burger features a crispy chicken patty, fried egg, crunchy cucumber and onions between two soft toasted buns. Slathered in between is this fiery sambal sauce that delivers a kick in each bite.

Portion is alright.

The Nasi Lemak Burger Upsized Feast $9.90 (U.P. $12.35) comes with the exclusive burger, Smoky BBQ McShaker Fries, Apple Pie and choice of drink.

The Smoky BBQ seasoning gives the fries a nice smoky sweet and tangy taste.

But of course, nothing beats my favourite Twister Fries during CNY.

McDonald’s Apple Pie has never gone wrong. It is always served hot and crispy with sweet gooey filling.

New this season is the Curry Chicken McNuggets, supposedly with curry taste and flavour.

Nonetheless, I had the usual Chicken McNuggets (20pc) $14 that comes with four tubs of curry sauce. The curry sauce always doubles as a comforting condiment for both nuggets and fries.
