Homegrown Mdm Ling Bakery rolls out two new specialty cakes – Kueh Lapis Legit and Cantonese Steamed Cake (Ma Lai Gao).
The Best of Kueh Lapis Legit $78 is a four-piece Kueh Lapis set that comes in a Peranakan-inspired gift box. It contains four flavours – Original, Pandan, Chocolate and Hawthorn. Definitely a delight to have, these old-school multi-layered cakes are fluffy, moist and not too sweet.
The Ma Lai Gao (six pieces) $8.90, on the other hand, is best eaten warm, and is pillowy soft, lightly sweeten and fragrant.
