Following the reopening of Spice Brasserie on 12 December 2019, diners can savour a festive buffet (from $52++ per person) between 20 December 2019 to 1 January 2020. Enjoy a scrumptious spread of Traditional Roast Turkey, Bone-in Gammon Ham with Ginger and Sarsi Glaze, Roast Duck with Burnt Tangerine Sauce, Chargrilled Specialties and Teppanyaki Ice Cream.

Similarly, for the month of December, savour a Six-course Festive Set Menu at Si Chuan Dou Hua with Sichuan and Cantonese highlights such as Roast Turkey, Flatfish in Osmanthus Sauce with Fresh Fruit, Pan-fried Kurobuta Pork in Truffle Oil, Double-boiled Abalone with Sea Whelk and Conpoy and Spiky Sea Cucumber stuffed with Minced Sakura Shrimps.

Meanwhile, pre-order the beautiful White Chocolate and Cream Cheese Red Velvet Yule Log with Brandied Fruits and Nuts $58 which is available as both takeaway and part of the Festive Buffet at Spice Brasserie.

Definitely a worthy contender, this log cake is by far one of the nicest I have tried this year. Instead of the typical mousse layers, the log cake features a core centre filled with generous swirls of crushed nuts, Griottes cherries, cranberries, raisins and citrus peel soaked in rum, kirsch and cognac for months.

I like the combination of the sweet-sourish fruits and the nuts – surprising me with the various elements. Just a tip: If you are taking the log cake out of the fridge to consume, let it sit for a while. The red velvet sponge cake will become softer and fluffier against the luscious cream cheese.
