Red Lips – Shanghai Mala Tang opens in Jewel Changi Airport Singapore

Shanghai’s largest new-age mala tang chain, Red Lips, marks its inaugural foray into the international market, with its first overseas outlet at none other than Jewel Changi Airport, Singapore.

Boasting 45 ingredients (starting $0.90 onwards) ranging from seafood and meat to vegetables and noodles, Red Lips combines freshness and flavour with every bowl. Its fragrant mala base is concocted using a secret blend of over 20 ingredients and spices, following intensive research and development.

Menu

Thanks to its use of peppercorns that are re-harvested in carefully selected farming regions, Red Lips’ mala base yields bold, full-bodied flavours that compliment every ingredient perfectly, leaving a pleasing and lingering aftertaste that does not overwhelm.

What stands out about Red Lips is the quality of food offered; no expense has been spared at delivering the freshest, tastiest morsels that elevate this simple dish. Notable ingredients from Red Lips’ selection include lobster ball with roe, asparagus lettuce, and fried ring roll.

Don’t miss out on the seafood, which comprises fresh cuts of seabags cube, prawns, ling fish, and even flower clams and squid!

While rice is not available, you can pick from a trio of thin bee hoon, thick bee hoon, and sweet potato vermicelli.

And if you’re feeling the heat from all that mala, try some of the homemade drinks; the Green Bean is my recommendation.
