Royal Durian (Jurong) – Mao Shan Wang Concept Store with interesting Durian Desserts

Royal Durian is the newest durian concept store in Jurong, selling Mao Shan Wang and a variety of Mao Shan Wang desserts.

The durians are seasonally priced and available in three grades – Mini, Classic and Premium. Desserts comprise of the Majestic Mousse Cup (Regular $6.90, Vegan $7.90 (less sweet version)), Supreme Puff $3.50, Magnificent Tai Yang Bing $3.80 and Lavish Oreo Cheesecake $11.60.

There is also the durian Imperial Gelato (from $6) which has an option of being served with kit kat, and Imperial Gelato Chocolate Ingot (from $5.50) beautifully presented in a basket of billowing dry ice smoke.

The durian desserts are all creamy and rich in taste.

The Tai Yang Bing in an interesting rendition of the Teochew-style pastry, surprising with a mix of durian and green bean centre encased in a flakey crust.

My personal favourites are the durian mousse and oreo cheesecake where the latter satisfies with a thick durian core surrounded by light durian mousse and oreo crumbs.
