Sentosa GrillFest – 1KM Food Street at Siloso Beach of Seafood & BBQ Extravaganza
Over 100 popular F&B options will be made available for one last weekend of seafood and grilled meat extravaganza at the second annual Sentosa GrillFest. Featuring stalwarts like FOC Sentosa, The Quarters Bistro and Grill, Fat Belly, Kinsa Sushi, Angliss Singapore, and more, this unique food festival stretches over a 1km trail, so you need not worry about meandering through a confusing maze of food stalls deciding what to try. (You can also clock in your steps challenge while you’re at it!)
Payment is done through a handy PouchNation token that’s embedded on your wristband, so no need to worry about fumbling for cash when there’s so much food to discover! Minimum top ups are $5 by cash, and $20 by credit card. Refunds are not allowed, so plan ahead to get every dollar’s worth.
Wristbands are purchasable for $30 (it’s pre-loaded with the same amount of dining credits you can use at the stalls).
The walking trail along Siloso Beach was decked with wooden dining chairs and benches for diners. Strings of light bulbs were also hung up along the trail, giving the space a whimsical vibe. A drumming ensemble and a live music line up are also there to entertain while you feast!
While we were definitely spoilt for choice (it’s no easy feat walking up and down trying to decide what we wanted!), a few dishes caught our eye.
The Lobster Hokkien Mee $18 by One Faber Group is certainly a visual show stopper, with chefs frying up batches of hokkien mee with lobsters in a gigantic wok. This was also the quickest dish to be served from the time of order, and with the contents piping hot when you receive it, it certainly is comfort food levelled up. Have fun twisting out chunks of lobster flesh with your forks!
Make your way to FOC Sentosa’s stall first, though, as they were sold out before we even got to queue.
Kinsa Sushi and Hokey Poki have also partnered to whip up some pretty mean Japanese inspired tacos ($6 for 1 piece, $9 for 2 pieces of the same kind). The Laksa Mentai Soft Shell Crab is a must try!
Meat lovers will also delight at the array of beef-based offerings (it’s a grill festival after all!). Siloso Beach Resort’s Flame Grilled Ribeye Beef Cubes ($10 for 100g) might look unassuming at first glance, but the succulent, juicy ribeye made it one of the best picks of the night. Instagram food, what Instagram food?
The other best pick of the night was Fat Belly’s Stockyard Wagyu Marble Score 4-5 Ribeye Truffle Bowl $12 Sous vide and then torched on grill to yield that melt-in-your-mouth texture, along with runny onsen egg atop pearly white rice – we did. Not. Regret. Paying. Extra. For. This. One. Bit.
Sentosa GrillFest is a worthy food fest to check out if you’re looking for all your favourite dining haunts in one spot. Swing by for their last weekend or you’ll live to regret it till the next year!
