Shakespeare Milkshakes Cafe for Churros Soft Serve in Jalan Trus, JB Malaysia

Shakespeare Milkshakes is a stone’s throw away from JB custom at Jalan Trus. Opened in September 2016, the humble cafe is nestled in the first storey of a shophouse, serving up coffee, ice cream and of course, milkshakes.

It was a tranquil mid-day Sunday as I strolled in. Two other tables were occupied and the men behind counter were busy at work. I took a long look at the menu; couldn’t decide between having their signature milkshakes or soft serve. I settled for the latter in the end.

The Speciality Milkshakes RM 18 come in three types of flavours – Avocado Power, Kinder Bueno and Banana Tower. As for the Soft Serve, you can either get it in a cone RM 12 or with the churros RM 15! Churros are also sold separately with dipping sauce at RM 15.

The seat was cosy enough too.

I spotted batches of churros churned out and sent to the other tables. Mine was served shortly with vanilla soft serve studded with caramelised florentine.

Churros were crispy and thoroughly fried. It had that biscuit-liked texture and unlike your usual sugar-loaded churros. Soft Serve was thick, smooth and fortunately not as milky as I thought. It didn’t melt that fast hence perfect for savouring slowly.
