Singapore River Signatures 2019 – Savour the Top 20 Winning Dishes

The Singapore River Signatures (also known as SR Signatures) is back for the fifth year, featuring the best 20 dishes from F&B establishments located along the Singapore River. The winning dishes are chosen by a panel of four judges based on four criteria – taste, plating, originality and value for money.

The judges for the 2019 edition are:

• Chef Elvin Chew, Honorary President Mentor of the Singapore Junior Chefs Club and part of the Committee of the Singapore Chefs’ Association
• Chef Eric Neo, President of the Singapore Chefs’ Association
• Chef Genevieve Lee, MasterChef Singapore Runner-Up
• Sarah Benjamin, food writer and television host

Besides the top 20 must-try dishes, special promotional menus are also available in selected F&B establishments. They are located largely within Boat Quay, Clarke Quay, Robertson Quay and along Circular Road.

Here are the dishes from the five establishments we have tried:

 

Four Points by Sheraton Singapore

• Signature Baby Rock Lobster Laksa (rich coconut gravy with hints of spices such as galangal, turmeric, dried chilli, lemongrass, candlenut, belachan and hae bee)

Dashi Master Marusaya

• A4 Wagyu Beef Shabu Shabu (succulent meats cooked in the all-natural dashi broth that’s made with ‘two-year-old dried bonito’ from Kagoshima and ‘Natural Rishiri Kelp’ from Hokkaido)

Okinawan Diner Nirai- Kirai

• Rafte (Simmered Pork Belly cooked with Awamori which gives the aroma of the Okinawan Liquor)

Octapas

• Paella Valenciana (Squid-ink rice with prawns, mussels, squids, fish, chorizo and chicken)
