So Do Fun, Centrepoint – Spicy Boiled Live Fish, Mapo Tofu, and Snowflake Beef

Sichuan restaurant So Do Fun from China is spicing things up with the opening of its third Singapore outlet at The Centrepoint!

One of the signatures here is the Boiled Fresh Fish (from $29.80) where the fish is delivered daily to the restaurant and prepared upon order.

Menu

The Boiled Fresh Fish ($29.80 Small, $49.80 Large) is available in three types of broth – Spicy, Sauerkraut, and Fiery.

The fiery broth offers a blend of spice and peppercorn numbness, complemented with various ingredients like kelp, soybean sprouts, and beancurd skin.

The fish is succulent and slippery.

Another version is in sauerkraut broth, which is lighter in taste, and comes with plenty of sauerkraut.

The Stir-fried Snowflake Beef $24.80 is remarkably tender and packed with flavour.

The Chengdu Mapo Tofu $11.80 is equally satisfying. The tofu has a nice firmness, and is soaked in a deep savoury spice with minced meat.

The Tender Frog with Pickled Peppers ($22.80 Small, $32.80 Large) is served in a refreshing, tangy broth. The frog is meaty yet delicately tender too.

Enjoy it all with a cup of third-quenching Jasmine Lemon Tea $3.50.
