Sweet Monster opens at AMK Hub with free Korean Popcorn Ice Cream on 14th Oct

Sweet Monster is a Korean brand specialising in popcorn soft serve ice cream! Made up of more than 75% fresh milk, Sweet Monster’s ice cream is strong in milk flavour with a soft and smooth texture.

Studded with popcorns that come in different flavours like cheese, caramel, strawberry, green tea and chocolate, this shapes the iconic popcorn popcorn ice cream that can be easily recognised from afar. Together with the adorable monsters aptly named BLUEmon, PINKmon, ORANGmon, LEmon, POPmon, CAKEmon, CHOCOmon, EGGmon and COOKIEmon as merchandises and prints on cups and paper bags, this concept is bound to attract plushie-lovers as well!

Besides the Singapore flagship store at Hillion Mall, Sweet Monster has recently opened a new outlet at Ang Mo Kio Hub Basement 1.

Popcorn Ice Cream is reasonably priced at $4.80 for Junior portion and $6.80 for regular.

For a regular Caramel and Cheese Mix Popcorn Ice Cream, the cup was generously swirled with ice cream stuck with two flavoured popcorns. I liked that the ice cream was significantly less sweet than I thought and the whole combination brought out the individual sweetness and savouriness of the popcorns.

Forget about biting into those airy cones, because at Sweet Monster, you can be assured of a crunchy cone consisting of Original, Red Velvet or Chocolate flavour.

Besides the Waffle Cone ice cream $5.50, there is also the Bingsu Signature Ice cream $10.80, Bingsu Cheesecake Ice Cream $11.80 and Bingsu Popcorn Ice cream $9.80.

Cheesecakes are available in-store and one of our favourites was the Tiramisu Cheesecake $5.80 where the soft cheese texture felt more like mascarpone cheese as compared to the Strawberry Cheesecake $5.80 which was likened the dense New York cheesecake topped with strawberry sauce and fresh strawberries.

Feeling thirsty (and hungry), the Monster Frappe and Monster Shakes ($6.80 regular, $7.80 large) are thick blended drinks here to up your caffeine dosage or quench your thirst.
