Menu (For Lunch and Dinner)
Exclusively for dinner, each table is entitled to a serving of Deep Fried Marble Goby, Braised Abalone with Broccoli and Steamed Scallops with Minced Meat & Glass Noodles. The premium selection also includes one Crab of your desired cooking style (Chilli, Black Pepper, Salted Egg, Gan Xiang and Butter Cream) or one serving of the Cheesy Baked Lobster.
The rest of the items on the a la carte menu remains free-flow.
Our top favourite was the Black Pepper Crab. The sauce was fragrant, peppery and flavoursome, while crab meat was plump and succulent. Easily a winner here.
Abalones were well-cooked and not overly chewy.
Besides the must-order deep fried marble goby, the Steamed Seabass stood out for its tender flesh and non-fishy taste. It’s quite a steal to have a whole fish served to you in a buffet, hot and all good.
Another showstopper was the Herbal Prawns. For those who love a rich, herbaceous broth, this dish would suit your palate well enough.
Don’t miss out on the Cereal Oats Prawn, Honey Pork Ribs, Roast Duck and addictive Gan Xiang Lala too.
There’s a lot of dishes to choose from and if you are just in a family or friends of four, there’s just how much one could stomach.
Some personal opinions: The soups, being too thick and gooey, were missable. The Mapo Tofu was a bit of a let down as it lacked the oomph of the spicy Si Chuan flavour. However the texture of the tofu was soft and nice, hence the other cooking styles might taste better. You Tiao Salad was ok. Thai Style Baby Kailan was rather bitter.
