The Westin Singapore proudly welcomes Chef Leo Cao Jin Ming, Executive Chinese Chef of The Westin Pazhou, to showcase his exquisite creations that capture the flavours of Guangzhou.

From 24 February to 31 May 2025, indulge in a one-of-a-kind Canton Afternoon Tea at Lobby Lounge and a sumptuous Canton Dinner Buffet at Seasonal Tastes.

Award-winning chef Leo Cao had numerous accolades from the World Chefs Championship in 2023, and under his leadership, retained the Michelin Guide Guangzhou “Michelin Guide Selected Restaurant” award for Five Zen5es, a Chinese restaurant at The Westin Pazhou, for six straight years.

Unwind in the grandeur of the Lobby Lounge with the tastefully curated Canton Afternoon Tea. Savour traditional Cantonese specialties with a modern twist. Served in a two-part box set, there is a balanced selection of savouries and sweets.

The savoury highlights include the flavoursome Bi Feng Tang Lobster, tender Braised Cod in Golden Pumpkin Broth with Caviar, and Black Truffle Grilled Prawn with Chinese Yam, alongside a comforting pot of Si Shen Soup to warm your belly.

Each dish is truly impressive with intricate flavours. This has become one of my favourite afternoon teas in Singapore.

The dessert box comprises the nourishing Duo Snow Stewed Bird’s Nest with Snow Pear, tangy Hawthorn Cake and Seafood Pillow Puff Pastry with Black Garlic. The latter is undeniably delicious, with a creamy umami filling encased in an ultra crispy pastry.

Relish in this themed dinner buffet where authentic Cantonese dishes take centre-stage. The rest of the buffet line-up includes seafood on ice, carvings, charcuterie, hot mains, local delicacies, and desserts.

The Hawker BBQ corner offers a delectable roast meat selection, including the specially marinated Honey-glazed Pork Char Siew, Roasted Pork Belly, and Hainanese Chicken.

Chef Leo Cao brings his signature Salted Lemon and Egg White Fried Rice recipe to Singapore. The key ingredient is the preserved lemon which gives the rice a light aroma, and refreshed, tangy taste. The chopped carrots, asparagus, and dried scallop bits further elevate the texture of the dish.

The fried rice is cooked upon order, and served hot on the spot.

Also prepared a la minute, the Oyster Omelette is a must-try. Each bite is filled with savoury goodness while the chilli livens up the dish with a bold, fiery kick.
