Tims @ Bones ‘N’ Barrels – Lobster Combo & Steak Set only $30++ at Novena

Tims @ Bones ‘N’ Barrels celebrates the grand opening of its second restaurant at Novena (opposite the St. Alphonsus Church) with blasts of colourful confetti, black and orange balloons in an arc and best of all, plenty of wine to go around all night long!

The new location is both great for indoors and alfresco dining – the outside functions more like a bar and the inside resembles a warm, cozy family get-together living area with all those bricks and wooden furniture.

We tried Tims @ Bones ‘N’ Barrel’s highlight that night: the Lobster Combo and Steak Set, presented on a sizzling pan! I was quite surprised that everything could be packed into an oval sizzle pan.

At only $30.80++ for this Surf and Turf Lobster Combo, it’s really worth it for a good slab of steak and a whole lobster (along with two sides)!

We were served medium for the steak and the meat was juicy and tasty, but could be more tender. The black pepper sauce used on the steak went mightily fine with the meat, just the way we like our steaks to be.

The lobster was amazeballs! The meat came off the lobster shell halves as easily as slurping down an oyster, and the lobster flesh was absolutely melt-in-your-mouth quality! What a well-grilled lobster.

The sides were both healthy and delicious – the cauliflowers, broccoli, carrots, and radishes were blanched, and the potato was served with a dollop of sour cream and bacon bits sprinkled atop. While the vegetables remain traditionally plain of sauce, they were refreshing.

The potatoes didn’t get a cheese baptism – but a few spoonfuls of sour cream and a sprinkle of bacon bits did the work! 

They also serve a myriad of other food on their menu, but we were only served the highlight – Lobster Combo with Steak – and thank goodness for that too, ‘cos we certainly didn’t have stomach for anything else after!

This outlet is the second Tim @ Bones ‘N’ Barrels in Singapore, the first being in Far East Plaza, Scotts Road. Try this amazing lobster combo platter today!
