Window on the Park presents daily Seafood Wok Specials for dinner buffet (Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre)

Asian cuisine gets an upgrade at Window on the Park, Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre’s Halal-cerified buffet. Embark on a gastronomic journey through the best Asia has to offer, from mouthwatering staples like chilli crab and biryani rice, to live stations serving up comforting favourites to order.

With over 50 dishes available, it’s safe to say diners will be spoilt for choice. Begin with seafood on ice, which comprises of poached prawns, cold Canadian black mussels, and freshly shucked oysters for dinner guests. Selections are displayed enticingly, according to their cuisine of origin, so you can make your rounds systematically with your plate in hand.

Aside from the freshly shucked oysters, dinner guests at Window on the Park are in for another treat: wok specials! From Monday to Thursday, savour your very own Seafood Mee Goreng served to your table.

Weekend dinner servings call for an extravagant Seafood in a Wok, available in Black Pepper or Mushroom Cream with Cheese. While the former appeals to local food purists, the latter is worth venturing into, although it can get a tad cloying after one too many bites.

Have it your way with the DIY stations, which include Singapore Fruit Rojak, Kueh Pie Tee, and live noodle stations where you can build your own Laksa Prawn Noodles and Mee Rebus, with fresh ingredients aplenty.

Watch your favourite treats being assembled under your eyes at the various live stations dotting the buffet line, such as Haig Road Putu Piring (Monday and Wednesday) and Pisang Goreng with Chocolate Sauce and Grated Cheese (Tuesday and Thursday). While I’m not one to crave for sweets often, the Pisang Goreng definitely had me going back for more, with its rich flavours and banana fritters fried perfectly. Props to Executive Chef Bobby for this mouthwatering signature creation!
