Wine Universe Restaurant & Wine Bar – Swiss Sunday Brunch, Raclette Cheese And Swiss Wines

Ardent lovers of cheese and wine would find comfort in Singapore’s one-of-a-kind Swiss Sunday Brunch. Newly launched by Wine Universe Restaurant & Wine Bar, the latest addition of an all-Swiss Sunday brunch in Singapore has now made Sundays more interesting besides the typical breakfast-brunch food.

Diners can expect Swiss specialties such as the signature Raclette Cheese, Lake Perch Fillet and Cheese Fondue. Top up an additional $29++ and you can also enjoy free-flow selection of curated Swiss Wines ranging from Sparkling, Moscato to Red and White Wines.

The Swiss Sunday Brunch comes with a buffet of Assorted Bread. Take your pick from amongst the buttery brioche to danish pastries and croissants.

It is a must-order for the famous Raclette Cheese which is served in a portion of thick gooey cheese alongside boiled potatoes and pickles. Savour it while still warm so as to best experience the melted goodness in your mouth.

The Raclette Cheese is a very classic dish which stands out remarkably. The flavour grows on you as you chew, a subtle mellow taste that gets seemingly endearing on its own. In my definition, it’s not boring but flavourful and rich.

Indulge in unlimited Sunny-side Ups and/or Scrambled Eggs as part of the Swiss Sunday Brunch as well.

Whenever you are ready for your main course.

For those who prefer a hearty meal, the Authentic Burger with Handmade Patty is topped with more Raclette Cheese and a layer of crispy bacon, while served with a side of chunky fries and salad. The melted cheese over tender beef patty simply makes you want to sink your teeth straight in.

The Famous Lake Perch Fillets with Potatoes and Lemon Butter Sauce is not a dish commonly found in Singapore. Here’s the chance for you to savour this at Wine Universe Restaurant & Wine Bar.

Served in bite-sized portions, they are like an addictive snack that pairs well with your white wine.

My personal favourite has got to be the Ham & Raclette Cheese Rosti Potato. You have to eat the layers together; consisting of soft warm potatoes, ham, bacon, cheese and egg. It was heavy yet very satisfactory.

For something refreshing, the House Salad is a good alternative. It is pleasant on the palate with a generous amount of greens. You can also find it topped with thinly sliced dry beef, bacon bits, gruyere and a perfectly poached egg,

Some other main courses that are available as part of the buffet include the Cold Cuts Platter or Cheese Platter, Cheese Fondue (min 2 to order) and Fondue Bourguignonne (min 2 to order plus extra $20++).

Desserts are not inclusive in the Swiss Sunday Brunch but can be ordered from the Ala Carte Menu.

Recommended are the Profiteroles Au Chocolat $15, Fondant Au Chocolate $15 with a thick gooey chocolatey centre and Creme Brulee $12. The alcoholic desserts on the menu looked appetising too such as the Sorbet Williams $18 that comes with Pear Sorbet and Williamine Spirit.

To savour an authentic cheese and wine Sunday brunch, Wine Universe Restaurant & Wine Bar is the place where you can get affordable and quality Sunday brunch with bottomless wines. Mark your date!
