Yanxi Dim Sum & Hot Pot Restaurant welcomes new chefs and their exquisite dim sum creations and appetisers!
Royal Cuisine Group recently welcomes two distinguished chefs whom will be bringing new delights to Yanxi Dim Sum & Hot Pot Restaurant.
Chef Chan Wai Keung, former Executive Chef of Mott 32 at Marina Bay Sands, will helm the kitchens of Royal Cuisine Group as its Group Executive Chef while chef Ben Yapp, former Dim Sum Chef at The Fullerton Hotels & Resorts Singapore, will be Head Chef for the Group.
On top of the hotpot feast, embark on a gastronomic journey with the new chefs’ creations, ranging from exquisite dim sum and appetisers to interesting desserts.
To begin, whet your appetite with a starter of chilled Hokkaido Jellyfish Salad in Aged Balsamic Vinegar served with crunchy cucumbers. Savour a variety of meat specialties such as the smoked General Tso’s Chicken, addictive Hong Kong Golden Garlic Pork Short Ribs and Cold Poached Chicken in Handcrafted Chuan Xiang Sauce. The must-have Artisanal Truffle Wild Mushroom Fortune Bag features a medley of ingredients wrapped in soft tofu and tofu skin and comes with a dollop of earthy black truffle paste. Another worthy contender is the Crispy Gold Dusted Black Tofu which expertly complements the seasoned crispy exterior with moist tofu within.
For dim sum, go adventurous and be swept away with the Handcrafted Sambal Petai with Chopped Dried Shrimp Dumpling and unique Mapo Tofu in Crispy Beancurd Skin Roll. Some other signatures on the menu include the Milky Matcha Crispy Snow Bun and Pan-fried Sesame Oil Chicken Bun.
Presenting a trio of fruity delights, the silky smooth Jack Fruit Sago accompanied by Jackfruit Crisp and Caramelised Rose infused Banana Fritters is the perfect dessert-to-go. Meanwhile, the 3.6 Hokkaido Milk Charcoal Egg Tart surprises us by being served in a pretty red box. The crust is crumbly and holds a molten creamy filling which reminds me of Basque cheesecake.
