34 Natural Food 34度天然食品, a brand under Hong Kong company 大中經銷有限公司, offers a range of frozen products and one of which is the Old Altar Pickled Fish 老壇酸菜魚.
Available in Scarlett Supermarket, each pack is priced at $8.80 and comes in two flavours (Old Altar and Golden Soup). Inside each pack are 250g sliced fish, 100g sauerkraut, 50g sauce and 5g dried chilli.
Simply empty the contents together into a pot with water and cook for a few minutes.
The sliced fish is very smooth and tender, but there might be some small bones.
The sauce is spicy and tangy, You can elevate the dish with more ingredients like tofu and enoki mushroom.
