With outlets in Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, Antipodean, is the spot for cafe-goers to enjoy a nice cup of coffee, all-day brunch and in-house desserts.

Antipodean opens its first Johor outlet in The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey, right beside the mall’s east entrance. Another outlet is slated to open in Komtar JBCC in July.

The cafe is cosy and spacious. There is air conditioning though it is open-spaced.

There is something for everyone. The menu offers all-day brunch items like Antipodean Kiwi Breakfast RM30, Eggs Benedict with Bacon RM33, Banana Pancake with Butterscotch RM28, French Toast with Berry Compote RM28 and Nutella Crepe RM26, pasta, panini sandwiches, bagels, pizzas, burgers, kebabs and salads.

The drink list is equally extensive, with various kinds of coffee and cocktails.

The Iced Coffee RM12 is served with an adorable bear-shaped coffee ice cube. The coffee taste is rich and pleasant.

The Shakshuka with Avocado Slices RM35 is quite hearty. The tangy stew is accompanied by lots of capsicums, two nicely poached eggs, fresh creamy avocado and feta cheese. On the side are two bread slices and butter.
