Diaw Maekhlong Restaurant, Jodd Fairs Bangkok – Famous Leng Zabb Volcano Pork Ribs
One of Jodd Fairs Night Market‘s must-tries is the giant pork ribs dish. Also known as Leng Zabb, it is a popular Thai street food.
The most popular place here for this dish is at Diaw Maekhlong Restaurant. By 5PM on a Wednesday, customers were already slowly filling up the spaces in the shop.
The signature Volcano Pork Ribs is available in four sizes (M for THB 180, L for THB 250, XL for ThB 350, XXL for THB 999). The portion can be really huge. The menu also offers many other dishes, including seafood like oysters, clams and crab legs.
The M-sized Volcano Pork Ribs is a hearty portion with around five pieces stacked like a volcano. It comes with lots of cut green chillis.
The soup is clear and light and despite the amount of chilli, it only starts to get spicy the more I drink. The ribs are pleasant and very meaty. Fortunately, there is also no pungent porky smell or taste too.
The Papaya Salad THB 100 adds a refreshing touch to the overall meal. It is tangy and cuts through all the meatiness.
