Bali Ayu Hotel & Villas – Affordable, Quiet Room and Convenient Location in Seminyak

Bali Ayu Hotel & Villas is a three star resort villa situated along the upscale dining stretch in Seminyak.

Its convenient location is walking distance to various popular venues such as Indonesian fine dining restaurant – Merah Putih, pretty dessert spot – Kanvaz Patisserie by Vincent Nigita, vegan brunch cafe – KYND COMMUNITY and Re Massage Studio for relaxing spa treatments.

Near the entrance is a western restaurant, WACKO Burger.

I stayed for two nights in the Standard Room (Hotel) at around SGD $37.50 per night. It is located on the second floor and accessible by staircase only.

There is a choice for Hotel or Villa (with or without private pool) for the stay.

The place is quite peaceful and quiet. Guests who stay in the villa will have to walk further in.

There is a pool and small seating area too.

The Standard Room is spacious and equipped with a fridge, TV, wardrobe, dressing table and side table.

The room, however, falls below my expectation. The bedsheets are stained; wardrobe has flies; toilet flush is weak; TV has poor resolution; the only plugs available are shared with the lamp and appear dusty.

There are no toiletries, except dubious looking shampoo and body gel of the same colour.

There is a balcony which has an ash tray. Even though I opt for a non-smoking room, it seems that guests can still smoke outside.

While the affordable pricing, nice service and convenient location make up for the shortcomings, I am still unlikely to return again.
