Blue Jasmine – Thai Halal Restaurant in Park Hotel Farrer Park

Tucked away from the bustling streets of Farrer Park, Blue Jasmine serves up authentic Halal Thai dishes with a view to boot. Boasting a generous space that spans the indoor and alfresco sections of the fifth level of Park Hotel Farrer Park, the 100-seater restaurant is a modern oasis where one can kick back with a tableful of food and drinks.

Sip away on one of Blue Jasmine’s Cocktails ($10) as you wait for your first dish to arrive. The Blue Jasmine and Tropical Paradise are two vibrantly coloured mocktail concoctions made with fruity ingredients to quench your thirst.

The Cha-Om Fried Egg ($12) is one highly recommended starter, with a fried omelette thinly sliced, rolled, and artfully plated with a selection of greens and chilli dip for a feast for the senses.

And what’s a meal in a Thai restaurant without a couple of tongue-tingling spicy curries and soups? The Green Curry with Kampong Chicken ($24) may not resemble the conventional green curry, with the bright red and orangey shades throwing diners off, but the dish itself is creamy and spicy. Vegetarian diners would be glad to know that a non-meat version is also available at Blue Jasmine.

The Tom Yum Sea Bass ‘Poh Tek’ ($20) is ideal for sipping on colder days and hit the right notes without being too overwhelming.

Aside from the vegetarian-friendly Wok Fried Morning Glory ($12) with wild garlic, bird’s eye chilli and soy sauce, you can fill up on your veggie quota with salad based dishes like Warm Seafood Salad ($18)and Tiger Cry Grilled Beef Salad ($20).

We wrapped up our meal with a dessert of Mango & Blue Jasmine Sticky Rice ($14), which arrived as a deconstructed plating complete with a huge, juicy mango half. A sweet way to end our afternoon indeed!
