Hailing from the land of a thousand smiles, Baan Ying is bringing a whole new meaning to feasting on Thai cuisine with their all-new weekend semi-buffet, aptly titled The Great Baan Ying Brunch. On the second level of Royal Square in Novena, Baan Ying may strike you as a modern eatery dishing up Western cuisine. The generous spacing of tables, coupled with a mix of greenery and floor to ceiling sunlight spilling into Baan Ying’s premises make for a very welcoming and pleasing dining atmosphere.

Meat and seafood are available for the mains (+$9.90 for Bone-In Iberico Pork Chop), which arrive sizzling hot complete with corn and tomatoes.

The Angus Beef Steak, which is available in 150g servings, is tender and juicy, with the spicy fish sauce dip providing an extra oomph to each bite.

Equally enticing are the Grilled Large River Prawns, which are a sight to behold with a garnishing of crispy lemongrass floss.

Even the Pan-fried Salmon Steak comes with fried ginger and homemade Thai seafood sauce, bound to whet appetites.

Work up a feast at the buffet table, where appetisers are arranged alluring.

Pad Kalam Sai Moo (Stir-fried Pickled Cabbage with Pork), Yum Woon Sen (Glass Noodle Salad), and Mini Lamb Moo Tod (Deep Fried Spicy Meat Balls) are some of the more outstanding selections.

Complete your feast at the DIY Thai Salad station, where diners can mix and match ingredients like Som Tum (Green Papaya), Yum Mamuang (Green Mango), and other greens to toss with a dash of Aunty Ying’s secret salad dressing. A refreshing cleanser in between mouthfuls of Baan Ying’s other rich goodies!

For dessert, the Rainbow Ruby is a colourful rendition of the classic red ruby dessert, but with multicoloured water chestnuts that pack a crunch! Another refreshing dessert is the Purple Sweet Potato in Coconut Milk.

Some popular signature drinks include the Butterfly pea tea with lime ($4.80++), Thai iced tea float ($9.80++), and Iced lemongrass tea ($4.80++) too.
