Blue Jasmine presents quality Thai Signatures Buffet & Happy Hour at New Alfresco Bar

Located at level five of Park Hotel Farrer Park, unwind at Blue Jasmine’s new alfresco bar, featuring a neat selection of cocktails, wines, beers and spirits, including a non-alcoholic Carl Jung wine for those looking to ease into the night.

From 3PM to 9PM daily, enjoy house pour wines and spirits at half price and draught beers going at $10 a pint, alongside some Thai-inspired nibbles to go with.

Meanwhile, Blue Jasmine’s buffet has expanded with more varieties and signatures from the a la carte menu too.

The newly launched Thai Signatures Buffet is available every Wednesday to Saturday during dinner time.

Begin with the beloved Cha-Om Fried Egg, a classic Acacia omelet served with homemade Nam Prik Kapi – a mean spicy sauce made of shrimp paste, lime, palm sugar, red chillies and pea eggplants pounded together – which absolutely upped the dish with a fiery oomph.

The Tiger Cry Beef Salad is a must-have on your plate. Treat yourself to strips of tender grilled beef fillet and cucumber tossed in a tangy and mildly spicy dressing of mint, coriander and Thai basil. The texture of the meat is wonderful though riddled with soft tendons.

Another favourite of mine is the Tom Yum Mushroom Soup, which is surprisingly not as excruciating spicy as expected. The red tom yum soup is pleasant-tasting and chocked full of oyster and button mushrooms.

Some other Thai favourites on the buffet line comprise of the Thai Basil Chicken Kaprao (best paired with Blue’s Jasmine blue butterfly pea rice), Crispy Lemongrass Seabass, Deep-fried Prawns with Yellow Curry Sauce, Wok-fried Morning Glory and Khao-Kluk-Kapi (fried rice with shrimp, egg, red chilli padi, green mango, long bean, Chinese chicken sausage and honey chicken).

Probably one of those kind of carbs worth having during a buffet, the Phad Kee Mao Chicken is lip-smacking delicious. Accompanied with an assortment of crunchy vegetables and minced chicken, the stir-fried kway teow in Thai-style is fragrant and extremely flavourful.

Dessert – Mango Sticky Rice
