BookXcess – Affordable Bookstore with Tallest Shelves in Gurney Paragon, Penang

Step into BookXcess – one of the largest and most beautiful bookstores you can find in Penang! Occupying level 8 of Gurney Paragon, BookXcess features amazingly sky-high shelves filled with rows and rows of books. Browse through a range of categories from fiction and comics to literature, biographies, baking and cooking recipes. There are also seats around for you to snuggle comfortably while you explore your purchase in hand.

The tall bookshelves are what got many excited too for that instagrammable background. It spanned roughly two stories high and there is also space to walk along the aisle. Drop by and take a shot or two!

Fans of Marvels would be stoked to know that there are many Marvel-related artbooks and comics on retail. There’s even a gallery of framed posters with the faces of various celebrities. Check out your beloved actors, actresses, singers and other personalities alongside their quotes as well. I am thrilled to find some of my favourite ones like Iron Man, Batman and Big Bang!

The next best thing about BookXcess, besides its relaxing ambience, is the affordably priced books. Reason being: BookXcess purchased these as remainder books at much lower prices where the cost saving can be passed on to consumers. These books, however, are still in top condition, and not second-hand, damaged nor old.

I even bought three books from there!
