Brown Butter – Singapore Instagrammable Cafe with Avocado & Beetroot Dishes at Forum The Shopping Mall

Brought to you by the same crew behind Hana Restaurant and Benjamin Browns, Brown Butter is the next IN cafe at Forum The Shopping Mall. Nestled right at the fringe of Orchard Road, it feels tranquil to be dining here on a weekday night. The pastel theme cafe is very much english-styled, elevated with an instagrammable rose wall set against lush sofa seat. Meanwhile, nearly every spot in Brown Butter screams OOTD-worthy.

The OTT Smoothies are seriously photogenic and worth a shot.

Both the OTT Avo Smoothie $10.90 and OTT Beet Smoothie $10.90 are topped with this fancy avocado ice cream. The drinks are also surprisingly slushy, easy drinking and not as sweet as expected.

One look and you can tell that the appetisers and mains are totally made for avocado lovers. Some interesting creations include the panko Avocado Fries $12.90, Spicy Salmon Avo Cup $14.90, Beet $15, a cheesy Avo-Carbo Pasta $23 and Avo Burger $23.

The Beet, my personal favourite, is the ideal must-have brunch item. The crusty pain de campagne hints at a sourish taste that is balanced by the creamy and nutty spread of smashed beetroot, hummus and tahini. Beautiful slices of avocado shaped into a rose complete the look.

Additionally, the Avo Burger would satisfy with a makeshift avocado bun layered with a 150 grams beef patty, melted cheddar cheese, tomato and onion.

For desserts, the Cheesecake $8.90 is absolutely adorable with its cartoon-like appearance that reminds me of the cheese in Tom and Jerry.

Available in three flavours (Lemon, Avocado and Beet), they are great to to have and to end the meal on a light cheesy note.
