Crolo by Swee Heng – Innovative Stuffed Croissants, Croffles & Cream Puffs in AMK Hub

Opened by local bakery brand, Swee Heng, Crolo now has a second outlet at Ang Mo Kio Hub, following its flagship store at Northpoint City.

The name, Crolo, is derived from combining ‘croissant’ and ‘bolo’, And as its name suggests, this specialty store offers a delightful range of crusty croissants and croffles. There are at least 20 over different flavours and prices start from $1.10 for a classic one.

There is currently an opening promotion where customers can get two free with every six purchased at the AMK Hub outlet.

There are simply so many choices and surely something for all ages.

Some of the more interesting savouries include Snow Crab Mentaiko Croffle $2.50 and Spicy Korea Chicken Croffle $2.50. The croffles are crispy on the surface and buttery within. It’s best to consume while still warm.

There are also fruity croffles with generous toppings like Peach $2.80 and Apple Crumble $2.50.

Many of the sweet stuffed croissants appears to be chocolate-based with flavours like Milo Dinosaur $2.50 and the very chocolatey Kit Kat $2.50. If having a cake in your croissant is on your to-do list, the Red Velvet Cream Cheese Croissant $2.50 and Chocolate Ganache Brownie Croissant $2.50 will allow you to enjoy the best of both worlds while filling you up considerably. By itself, the croissant has a crispy crust while airy within.

Meanwhile, the cream puffs will make a delightful afternoon treat. The Chocolate Pistachio Cream Puff $3.20 is layered with smooth duo-flavoured cream and a chocolate sponge layer. A must-have!
