Dosirak 313@Somerset Flagship offers DIY Healthy Korean Bibimbap for dining in + Opening Promos
Popular Korean takeaway bento brand, Dosirak, has finally opened a flagship store in 313@Somerset, basement one. The brightly-lit storefront features a bigger seating area for casual dining and a takeaway kiosk as well.
Dosirak’s food uses a 100-year recipe passed down through generations, from homemade sauces to the marination of the salmon and beef. Besides the quality and fresh ingredients used, Dosirak has a focus on healthy eating. Not only are the sauces vegan-friendly, the base options consist of healthy choices and each bibimbap portion is also under 500kcal.
The good thing is you can customise your own bibimbap with your favourite ingredients. Prices start from $7.90 onwards.
In light of Dosirak’s new opening, there will be three promotions between 7th to 16th June 2019.
7th to 16th June:
Post and win Dosirak VIP Card (10 Winners) – 10 complimentary Bibimbap per card
7th to 9th June:
$1 Bibimbap for FIRST 50 customers per day
1-FOR-1 Bibimbaps for all day
10th to 16th June:
FREE drinks with any Bibimbap purchased
The three homemade sauces are the Goma Gochujang (fiery spicy with a sweetness, also my personal favourite), Apple Cider Gochujang (sweeter and tangy) and Soy Garlic Jang (savoury) which you can help yourself to if you are dining in.
Choices for the base and sides are rather substantial. There’s the Brown Rice (add $1), 5-Grain Rice (add $2), Cauliflower Rice (add $3) and Buckweed Noodle (add $1) to name a few.
Sides comprise of homemade kimchi, shredded carrot, pickled cucumber, chickpea, spinach, corn and more. You can also add on for the Onsen Egg (add $1), Spicy Chicken (add $2), Beef Bulgogi (add $3) and signature Soy Citrus Salmon (add $4.50), amongst the 14 options.
Another $4 more would round it up as a set with a tea and soup such as the spicy Kimchi stew, Doenjang or Seaweed soup.
Whatever you have chosen would be loaded into the ice cream tub that comes with a lid. This would make it convenient for you to shake and mix up the ingredients within.
Don’t be fooled by the size of the tub. The items are actually quite compact within and the portion is good enough as a meal!
I would definitely return for the Soy Citrus Salmon that was superbly tender with a texture that almost melted in my mouth. It is firstly cured in Korean sea salt, then marinated in citrus sauce and flame-torched which gives it a light charred surface.
