Farmers and Chefs – Super Worthy $10 All-day Breakfast in Shenton Way
Farmers and Chefs is a wholesome cafe that promises affordable and delicious real food. Special attention is also paid to children’s meals for those who are gluten/lactose-intolerant or have allergies to certain food ingredients such as eggs.
Run by the same team behind LeClare Preschool, Farmers and Chefs is situated at the outdoor area of the Singapore Conference Hall in Shenton Way. Set below a canopy, the 50-seater cafe is surrounded by greenery and wooden crafts (for sale), and perfect for hosting gathering and events too.
The menu encompasses a good selection ranging from all-day breakfast and rice bowls to salads, hearty mains, pastas and drinks.

The outstanding dish among all is The Farmer’s Breakfast at a mere $10.
For the price, you are served a plateful of sliced sous vide herbed boneless chicken thigh, creamy scrambled egg (I would gladly add on for more) topped with clarified butter, grilled Roma tomatoes, a piece of ciabatta, sautéed button mushrooms and mixed greens in a tangy house vinaigrette, all atop a hidden rosti with housemade soy mayonnaise.
While the chicken pleased with its tender and juicy texture, the scrambled egg stole my heart for the perfect runniness.
The hearty all-in-one big breakfast will certainly leave you full and satisfied and your money’s worth. And honestly, I can’t imagine a breakfast dish on par with this.
Note that the all-day breakfast options are not available between 12-2PM and are replaced with lunch specials.
Between 12PM to 2PM, lunch crowds can delight in rice bowls (from $8.80-13.80) with choices of proteins like chicken thigh, pan-seared salmon, Iberico pork cubes and striploin.
Farmers and Chefs uses its homemade sauces for the pasta.
The Truffle Mushroom Cream $12.80 comes highly recommended. It is served with three kinds of mushrooms (Button mushroom, Shimeiji and Oyster King Mushroom) in a flavoursome cream sauce filled with the aromas of truffle.
Other pasta on the menu include the Prawn Aglio Olio $12.80, Pomodoro Pasta $9.80, Arrabiata Pasta $9.80 and Mentaiko Carbonara $12.80.
Farmers and Chefs’ signature mains comprise of the hearty Kurobuta Pork Loin $18.90 and Premium Striploin $21.90.
The former appeals to the senses with its colourful presentation of various ingredients, though the pork loin would need to be more tenderised to make this dish into a worthy contender.
