Halcyon & Crane at The Paragon – A Beautiful Early Breakfast in Town
Halcyon & Crane is a beautiful cafe nestled at level three of The Paragon. It’s prime location makes it a perfect pit-stop for drinks after a day of shopping, or a cosy meal time with friends. Sink into plush seats and be carried away by aesthetic dishes over coffee and a cocktail or two.
I headed over in the morning to catch their breakfast which starts at 9AM. The breakfast menu, which is available till 11AM, is a concise one, featuring their signature French toast as well as the quintessential breakfast choices.
I had the Fried Egg Truffled Mushroom Toast $15 (changed to Onsen Eggs). The truffled mushrooms were heavenly with lots of truffle, while the salad was lightly drizzled in a tangy sauce which made it really refreshing. For the price, it seems quite affordable too.
There is a great selection of drinks and I eventually settled for the Honey Milk Matcha Cubes $12. The thick hot milk quickly melted the rich and bitter matcha cubes. The sweetness in the honey helped to balance it out. The drink is rather decent though I would prefer the milk to be thinner.
Overall, it’s a nice place to sit back and relax. Worth coming back to try their main menu!
