Huo La La Spicy Pot (Serangoon Gardens) offers both Mala Xiang Guo & Hotpot Buffet

Spice lovers: ever felt like you couldn’t decide between a nourishing spicy hotpot or a tongue-numbing bowl of mala xiang guo? Well, now you can enjoy the best of both worlds at Huo La La Spicy Pot, a month-old mala concept that just opened its doors in Serangoon Garden.

The Chongqing Hotpot buffet is priced at $22.80++/$27.80++ for adults and $13.80++/$17.80+ + for children, a reasonable price as you get free-flow access to a wide variety of ingredients ranging from fresh vegetables to even crab legs. Take only what you need though, as wastage will be charged at $5 per 100g.

To start, indulge in a nourishing Chongqing hotpot buffet that offers two soup bases per pot. Choose from a variety of mouthwatering soup bases, including collagen, tomato, herbal chicken, laksa, and spicy fragrant, all brewed to bring out the best of flavours from your chosen ingredients. Dip your food to your heart’s content in Huo La La’s house-made chilli sauce, which adds a spicy kick to your meal.

With over 50 ingredients available, diners are sure to be spoilt for choice. Premium items are also available at $5 per pax. Enjoy scrumptious, fresh ingredients like beef slices, fish maw, mutton slices, beef tripe, prawn/ pork paste, and bamboo clams, all of them plated beautifully for a visual and tasty feast!

Turn up the heat with the Mala Xiang Guo Spicy Pot, available in three spice levels: mild, medium, and extra, with non-spicy for the spice averse. While most of us find ourselves confused with the price tiers at many mala xiang guo eateries, Huo La La keeps it all transparent and clear so you know what you’re getting into: $1.80 per 100g of vegetables, $2.50 per 100g of mushrooms, meat, and frozen sides, and $3.00 per 100g of seafood Once you’re done, hand it over to the staff who will prepare your mala feast for you!

Huo La La Spicy Pot offers wholesome comfort food for residents around Serangoon Gardens, with reasonable prices to boot. Head over and eat to your heart’s content – or until your tastebuds can’t bear the numbness and spiciness anymore.

Reservations can be made via Quandoo!
