Isetan Singapore – Popular Sakanoue Cafe sells Kakigori at Sweets Fair from 24 February to 9 March 2023

Happening from 24 February to 9 March 2023, Isetan Scotts Supermarket is having the Sweets Fair, featuring a range of strawberry-themed desserts and pastries. The popular Sakanoue Cafe from Tokyo is also here as a pop-up store, selling their signature Kakigori (Shaved Ice) in various flavours.

I dropped by on Friday, around 1PM plus. There was no queue and only three flavours are available. The eye-catching Panda Kakigori and Matcha Kakigori are unfortunately not available anymore. Nonetheless, do check out their signature Strawberry Cream Kakigori $13, Blue Cheese & Sweet Cream Paste Kakigori $13 and Pistachio Raspberries Kakigori $13 (which was today’s special).

The inside of the Strawberry Cream Kakigori comprises freeze dry strawberry, fresh cream espuma and strawberry syrup, while topped off with another swirl of fresh cream espuma and strawberry syrup. The cream is fuwa fuwa (smooth and light) and the syrup is not too sweet with the soft ice too. One person can easily finish this!
