King’s Potong Ice Cream – Irresistible Black Sesame, Teh Tarik, Durian, Cempedak, Red Bean & Yam flavours!
My fondest memory of Potong Ice Cream was biting the ice cream directly off from the stick and chewing on the chunks. Not only are they my favourite childhood desserts, my parents adored the ice cream very much too, especially the Red Bean and Durian!
King’s Potong comes in various flavours, inspired by local food and beverages.
For those who love fruits, the Mao Shan Wang Durian is a popular favourite, as well as the Coconut and Cempedak. The Black Glutinous Rice is a rendition of the Pulut Hitam, served cold instead of hot, while the Teh Tarik is reminiscence of our Singaporean-style tea with condensed milk.
Introducing Potong’s newest flavour, Black Sesame, the ice cream carries with it a roasted aroma while the additional black speckles on the ice cream add on to the flavour and texture. On the whole, it reminded me of black sesame paste, strong in taste and quite tasty.
King’s Potong can be found in major supermarkets, hypermarkets and RedMart.
