KOMYUNITI Yotel Singapore – New Fusion Menu with Charcoal Fish & Chips, Hoisin Duck Flatbread & Edgy Cocktails

KOMYUNITI is a modern dining space that sits at level 10 of Yotel Singapore. Helmed by its new Head Chef, Benny Lim and award-winning mixologist, As’ad Isnin, you can look forward to a recently launched menu that features an exciting selection of fusion food and cocktails. At KOMYUNITI, the food is inspired by Eastern and Western influences, accompanied with the use of ingredients such as spices and herbs.

KOMYUNITI’s Charcoal Fish Fingers & Chips is a playful take on the dory fish that is coated with bamboo-infused charcoal batter. The homemade paprika tartar sauce adds flavour to the fish alongside the addictive shoestring fries and tangy purple cabbage coleslaw that complete the dish.

The Beef Pita Bread Pockets allows you to DIY your own pita bread. The slices of black Angus beef are cooked till medium with crisp, charred edges. The meats, however, needed a bit more chew.

Three sauces are also available for your pick: red aioli, sour cream and Asian jus. Each one yields a different flavour profile.

The Hoisin Duck Flatbread is a combination of smoked duck, cucumber and pizza bread, drizzled in Hoisin sauce, a commonly used Chinese glaze for meats. The bread base boosts a chewy texture and comes spread in a thick layer of mozzarella cheese. It’s indulging and perfect with some beers to go along.

One of my favourites is the Beef Burger. Sandwiched between fluffy charcoal sesame bun are the juicy Angus beef patty, mayo dressing, melted cheddar cheese, mouth-watering bacon jam, tomatoes and lettuce.

Every bite is bliss and an explosion of flavours.

KOMYUNITI ain’t leaving any Korean food lovers out there.

The Spicy Korean Fried Chicken is another delectable dish with juicy chicken meats in homemade Korean buffalo sauce. The sauce is surprisingly not as spicy as I thought, so as to cater to international palettes.

But if you are craving for an extra kick on your tongue, turn in a request for double spiciness.

I would have easily mistaken the Potted Plant Tiramisu as a real potted plant in KOMYUNITI’s edible garden. This is how realistic the presentation is.

Served in a little flower pot, it is layered with espresso-soaked coffee sponge, espuma liquor custard and oreo crumbs. Fresh mint leaves complete the look with awes from the table.

The Comic Coffee is a must-try for those who can hold your caffeine.

The vodka-based cocktail is made up of citrus, dark cherry, salted espresso, and a hidden slab of soya bean curd at the bottom of the cup. Strong in liquor and caffeine, this is not for the faint-hearted in the late evening.

In addition, KOMYUNITI is great as an event space with beautiful private rooms and an alfresco pool. Plus, you can also get fun activities such as the helium balloon voice too.
